Business Development Executives
General Position
Exetel is aiming at having at least 100+ Business Development Executives in Colombo to effectively handle sales enquiries, order processing and to promote the range of data and voice related products and services directly to both residential and corporate customers in Australia by way of direct personal selling but utilizing a very large hot prospects database.
Exetel engages only female staff for this position simply due its results achieved in the past with female staff and as we believe that the female staff has the right patience and understanding combined with their pleasant communication abilities.
You will work with a group of people who are among the best in the Internet field and will have good opportunities to advance in your career in a choice of directions.
The people who are currently successful at Exetel in these positions have the following characteristics:
- Tertiary qualification in sales / marketing and computer related subjects.
- Solid personal experience with personal selling and a flair for sales
- Patience, Courtesy and the ability to paying attention to ultimate detail
- Ability to work full on for extended periods of time
Job Description
The job responsibilities of this position are as follows but not limited to:
- Act as a sales consultant to Australian customers promoting Exetel’s wide range of telecommunication services
- Perform various service qualification checks using advanced web based applications
- Effectively respond to sales enquiries
- Undertake sales orders and submit necessary applications for effective provisioning/delivery of services
Thorough training will be provided to effectively carry out your job however, you should have the following essential requirements to be successful in this position.
Essential Requirements
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.
- A degree in IT/Business/Marketing and/or fully or part qualified CIM/SLIM
- Skills in using computers, Internet, email & Web applications
- Experience in a Telco/ISP environment will be a distinct advantage.

Remunerations
Remunerations for the above post will be well over Rs. 100,000/- that includes allowances for travelling for the early morning shifts, computer and ADSL facilities at home, and generous sales commissions in addition to the Rs. 100,000/- all inclusive earnings.
